I lived in Lewiston when I first started taking music lessons on the Accordion. I play the tuba, accordion, handbells and I play around with the 6 string guitar. I was 10 years old when I started taking accordion lessons at Maurice Music Mart. Yes, I played the glocknspiel, vibraphone, sousaphone and the upright stringed bass while in junior high school and high school. I played the accordion in a four piece band on the Youth Cavalcade TV show in the early 1960's. I never stopped playing but I did change instruments, trying to play the guitar, but also continuing to play my accordion and learning to play handbells with a group from church. I started playing the sousaphone 30 years after graduating from high school with the Auburn Community Band. Currently, I play the tuba with the Fanfare Concert Band and the Bath Municipal Band full time. My daughter played the flute for 5 years and the piano for 4 years. I am retired. I like most music genres, but I love 50's thur 70's rock and roll, rhythm and blues, motown including the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Rolling Stones, the Who, Beach Boys and Led Zeppelin. I do not like rap and hip hop and not very big on country western.
